nathan glendinning

A director from North East England whose work sits at the intersection of social realism and cinematic storytelling.

Drawn to stories about outsiders, overlooked communities and modern Britain, he creates films that feel grounded, human and emotionally truthful. His work is shaped by the people and places he grew up around; coastal towns, post-industrial landscapes and working-class communities and combines naturalistic performances with a strong visual sensibility.

Alongside directing commercial and branded content, Nathan is developing original narrative projects that explore contemporary social issues through character-led storytelling. Whether creating a commercial campaign or a short film, he is interested in the same thing: finding authentic moments that reveal something deeper about the people on screen.

His films balance realism with cinematic ambition, bringing a distinctive Northern voice to both commercial and narrative work.
